Individual development is at the core of our curriculum, as high school students avail themselves of our high-powered learning tools tailored to children who have been identified as intellectually gifted. The Reach Ahead Program will be replaced in September 2021 with the introduction of our pre-Advanced Placement (AP) program in grade 8, whereby the students will not only continue to be immersed in our enriched and accelerated  gifted curriculum with unique, hands-on classroom assignments, locally developed units of study, and the inclusion of more experiential learning as an extension of the classroom, but also be offered specialized pre-AP units of study.  These pre-AP units in English, math, science and French will complement our gifted program by further encouraging even deeper and closer observation and analysis in language, text and laboratory design; by continuing to spark curiosity through the art of complex questioning techniques; and by further encouraging thoughtful participation in collaborative conversations about significant topics and ideas. Gradually introducing select pre-AP units in grade 8 (and continuing in grades 9 and 10) will allow for a smooth transition as students enter into our sophisticated gifted high school program, continuing to achieve great success while simultaneously scoring equally high on AP exams in grades 11 and 12.

Accelerated learning, focused heavily on problem solving, analysis and higher level thinking

Enriched and challenging academic courses that parallel and expand on the material covered in Advanced Placement® (AP) courses

Marine Biology study at a university lab in Roatan, Honduras

Continued incorporation of modern technology to enhance learning

Diverse range of leadership and volunteer opportunities, as well as career planning and mentorship

Emphasis on preparation for post-secondary studies
