Students are challenged to reach their own outstanding potential while being prepared for high school. As students get ready to enter into this next phase of their lives, our specialized curriculum develops their creative and future problem solving skills, group interaction capabilities and leadership experiences.

Grade 8 students are introduced to our pre-Advanced Placement (AP) program, whereby students not only continue to be immersed in our enriched and accelerated gifted curriculum with unique, hands-on classroom assignments, locally developed units of study, and the inclusion of more experiential learning as an extension of the classroom, but are also offered specialized pre-AP units of study.  These pre-AP units in English, math, science and French complement our gifted program by further encouraging even deeper and closer observation and analysis in language, text and laboratory design; by continuing to spark curiosity through the art of complex questioning techniques; and by further encouraging thoughtful participation in collaborative conversations about significant topics and ideas. Gradually introducing select pre-AP units in grade 8 allows for a smooth transition as students graduate from P.A.C.E. and move on to high school programs of their choosing.

Students perfect and refine their research skills in all subjects and engage in further accelerated learning, focusing heavily on problem solving, analysis and higher-level thinking
