THE PACE OF THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE

The New Year has ushered in a fresh and exciting beginning at P.A.C.E., bringing students, teachers, and families together with renewed enthusiasm. With curious minds, bright goals, and positive energy, we’ve welcomed 2026 ready to learn, discover, and grow as a community.

Every day is a new opportunity to try something new, discover new talents, and celebrate progress along the way. Whether you’re solving equations, experimenting in science, performing on stage, or learning something for the very first time, each small step helps you grow stronger and more confident. Let’s keep the excitement going and make 2026 a year full of discovery, creativity, and joy!

JANUARY+FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS

Here’s what we’ve been up to—From the classroom to the court, our students have been shining brightly, showcasing passion, perseverance, and remarkable growth.

P.A.C.E. Presented: Festival of Words
On January 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA) hosted the Festival of Words, featuring performances by P.A.C.E. students, including music, literary presentations, and other creative arts.

P.A.C.E. Participated in the AMC 8 Math Contest
On January 27, 2026, P.A.C.E. students took part in the AMC 8 Math Contest, a national competition designed to challenge middle school students’ problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This participation gave students the opportunity to apply their mathematical knowledge in a fun and competitive environment.

Grade 8: Voices of French Poetry
Our Grade 8 French students presented projects analyzing poems by renowned poets such as Victor Hugo, Jean de La Fontaine, and Robert Desnos. In addition to their literary analysis, students explored key aspects of each poet’s biography, examining how life experiences and historical context influenced their work.

Heart, Hustle & Hoops: U10 Tournament Triumph
On February 2, the P.A.C.E. U10 co-ed basketball team competed in the SSAF Tier 1 Tournament at the Hoop Dome, delivering a full day of excitement, hustle, and heart, with athletes showing impressive teamwork and growth on the court. P.A.C.E. put together a memorable tournament run, finishing strong as third place winners with a record of 4 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie. Congratulations to all the players for an outstanding tournament filled with sportsmanship, effort, and fun. The future is bright for these young athletes! And a heartfelt thank you to the coach Mr. de Lara for his time and dedication to the team.

Grade 5: Passport to Discovery
Our Grade 5 French students took on the role of travel experts! They researched a city, state, or country, designed their own webpage, and presented their findings entirely in French. From locating their destination on a world map to sharing population facts, highlighting three fun facts, and promoting at least two must-see attractions or excursions, their projects were très impressionnants!

Grade 3: Game On! Exploring Forces Through Play
Our Grade 3 classroom turned into a mini arcade as students designed and built their own games using what they learned in their Forces unit. Visiting classmates were invited to test them out, exploring pushes and pulls. It was a day full of big smiles and laughter!
